This beautiful Tiffany-style lamp is pieced together by hand from individual sections of variegated stained glass in the shape of a Galapagos Turtle. Although technically it is a tortoise rather than a turtle since it lives on dry land and does not swim, most people still call them turtles.

One interesting tidbit about the Galapagos Tortoise is that although its skin seems thick and tough, it actually has a very sensitive neck and likes to be petted so much that it will follow zookeepers around in order to get its neck petted some more.

On this lamp, the shell of the tortoise is predominantly orange while the head and legs are metal. The lamp takes a 15-watt candelabra bulb (included).
