The sea turtle species is a stylized Loggerhead Sea Turtle and it is depicted swimming in a deep blue ocean.

The holder is hand made by artisans in Ecuador. They use a kiln firing process to layer and shape colored pieces of glass until they are fused together into a single piece of glass. This fusing process is what allows the artisans to create the bubbly texture that you see in the glass. In fact, the glass itself has sort of a raised bubbly texture to it.

Two pieces of fused glass are set into a wooden base to form a slot for holding cards that can hold about 40 business cards.
