Did you know that there are only 2 species of alligators?

Besides the American alligator, there is the Chinese alligator and that's it. No other gators. The American alligator is native to the southeastern United States and is larger than the Chinese alligator. One male alligator was measured to be 19 feet long! Although usually they only reach about 14 feet and the females are even smaller.
