Do you like your turtles soft and squishy on the inside? Then this turtle might be just the thing for you! It has a hard plastic shell with a rubbery, stretchy body on the inside. You can pull on the head, feet, and even the tail. Lots of fun! This particular turtle is based on either a box turtle or the desert tortoise. Box turtles and tortoises are both characterized by a relatively high domed carapace. The carapace is the top shell and the bottom shell is called the plastron.
