This sure is a small snake... but just because it's small doesn't mean that it's not deadly! The sidewinder rattlesnake has several subspecies of which the Mojave Desert Sidewinder is one. Hence, the name, "Mojave" for this figurine. It is different from the other species in that the bottom segment of its rattle is brown. The other neat thing about this snake is the supraoculars (the protuberances above its eyes) that look like horns giving it the nickname, the "Horned Rattlesnake."
