Do you like your turtles soft and squishy on the inside? Then this turtle might be just the thing for you! It has a hard plastic shell with a rubbery, stretchy body on the inside. You can pull on the head, flippers, and even the tail (although it's really, really short.) Lots of fun! This particular turtle is a sea turtle. Sea turtles are characterized by a relatively flat carapace that makes it easier for them to swim in the ocean. Very aquadynamic! In fact, sea turtles only come onto land to lay eggs.
